Jeweller for luxury watches and jewellery in Hamburg

The customer's specifications for the refurbishment of the store on the Jungfernstieg promenade in Hamburg were clear: They wanted an elegant yet understated look that optimally showcases the valuable products from the “Jewellery & Watches” segment. With its location steeped in history, it also made sense to skilfully emphasise its Hanseatic character. The architect's office Blocher Partners (Stuttgart) was responsible for translating the design motif into a sophisticated concept. Hoffmann Interior was chosen as a competent partner for the realisation of the project. This was mainly due to their many years of experience in premium shopfitting for international luxury brands and their ability to ensure the highest level of customer satisfaction with flexible and inventive solutions.

Following the commissioning in February 2019, the team at Hoffmann Interior began to constructively translate the vision into shapes and materials. Over the next eight months, shop window and wall areas of approximately 250 m² were created over two floors, including high-quality display cases and matching mid-space furniture, as well as a curved staircase with wooden panelling that connects both levels. The interplay of light and dark surfaces made of marble and solid wood creates a harmonious ambience that reveals its full brilliance through the accentuated lacquer and liquid metal coatings. The surface treatment department at Hoffmann Interior received training beforehand in the realisation of real metal finishes so that all the work could then be done in the company's production facilities. The advantage for the customer: no delay through the use of external service providers.

The wall elements with the 8-node maritime motif are also an expression of Hoffmann Interior's passionate craftsmanship: 3D contour milling required very time-consuming programming and subsequent CNC machining. Thanks to the careful work of the specialists at Hoffmann Interior, Bucherer did not have to make any compromises. Additional wall surfaces and also custom-made free-standing furniture complete the look with colour-coordinated fabrics and leather.

The entire refurbishment was realised in two stages. This was the only way to ensure that products could continue to be sold on the other floor. However, this approach needed well thought-out planning that requires coordination down to the last detail. The result is an impressive interior design that skilfully conveys the distinctive charm of the concept. Bucherer is completely satisfied and has decided to continue the successful cooperation with Hoffmann Interior at another location in Düsseldorf.
